COMMON NAME: Ruby-crowned Kinglet
SCIENTIFIC NAME: Regulus calendula
The two photos in this post are the first and only photos I’ve captured of this bird so far.
In this one you can see a little bit of red on the crown, the white on the wings, a greenish-gray overall coloring, and a black beak.

Within a couple seconds of snapping the above photo, the bird took off. Here you can see the white eye ring.
From what little I’ve read about this bird so far, it is a species that winters in my area.
